Easter was different. But good. Good different. We had the Roscow Easter Saturday. Boys boys boys EVERYWHERE! I laughed so hard when all the kids got together for the annual easter egg hunt picture. 3% girls to the 97% boys. What is wrong with that picture haha?? We had all the food, poker, egg hunt, chit chat like every Easter..it just didn't quite feel like Easter. All the storms. My feet swollen to the point I didn't want to even get up to go to the bathroom. Great Grandma in the hospital :(
Sunday we (and when I say we, I mean Luke & I...don't even get me started...) went to church. Luckily I have amazing parents & one amazing mother-in-law who came along so I didn't have to be by myself! We had Easter at my parents afterwards. Once again, it just didn't feel like Easter. Luke & I changed quickly into our pjs and took numerous cat naps with all the nastiness of outside ha. But it was nice, relaxing, and with family. That counts for a good Easter to me!
And what really really really made it NOT feel like Easter was NO pictures. Ya. I was physically & mentally exhausted allll weekend. And I'm the photograher in the family and I just didn't do it. Not one family picture. Not one of Lukey's adorable outfits. Not one of his SEVEN Easter baskets. Notta. Whoops. There is always next year....
Luke was spoiled rotten to the absolute core. And I HAVE to mention that I am sooo very proud of everyone for actually listening to my wish of no candy. Seriously, thank you! (Don't think he was deprived) He did get a very small amount of candy here & there. But there is no need to buy a 2 year old 17 chocoloate bunnies & a case of peeps. Right?
