Easily Convinced...

I have FOUR days of classes and FOUR finals before the semester ends.
Can I get an Amen??

Hooray for Summer Break!!! I'm exhausted. Why torture myself when I have the option of not going to school? When I went to Hickey there were none. Oh, you just gave birth? We will see you Monday. No joke, that's pretty much how it went down. I had Luke on a Thursday at 8:02 a.m. & was back at school the following Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. Maternity leave. What's that??

I have been contemplating summer classes. The pros, the cons and everything in between. A couple weeks ago I was sitting in class & I decided to hell with summer classes. I was having hot flahes, bh contractions, and having to smell the mixture of doritos/cigerette breath next to me all while listening to my professor going whomp whomp whomp. True story. Straight up Charlie Brown style, I didn't hear a single word she said let alone anything she taught. Ay caramba! So yes, NO to summer classes!! Hallelujah.

Well....that was then, this is now.
One of my professors asked me to stay after class today. It went a little something like this....

Professor: "So, you are still planning on taking my class this summer right?"

Me: "Well, about that... I don't know. I just think it is going to be a headache"

Professor: "Sarah, I think it would be beneficial for you to take the class with having just taken this one. Besides the first few classes are going to be the exact same as this class. So if you have to miss or aren't really into it, you already know the information"

Me: "How much homework is involved?"

Professor: "8 page paper"

Me: "Okaaayyy, well can I get the assignment now?"

Professor: LOL

Me: "I don't know"

Professor: "I'll work with you. I'll let your attendance be flexible. I like having you in class. Won't this class be so fitting for with what your going through in your life right now?"

Me: "Fine. I'll do it"

Professor (as I'm walking out the door): "You know the writing assignment is the exact same as the one you just did, 'if' you chose a topic pertaining to the class you could get a head start" (cough cough)

So here I am. This close to catching a break. Now I'm sucked back into the absolute last place I want to be this summer. SWIC. Ugggggghhhhhhh.

(With the blessing of my husband -- eeeekkk) I will be starting my summer class June 6th. Logan is due July 6th. The last day of class is July 27th. No biggie... I can WILL do this!! It's 15 class periods. Monday & Wednesday nights 7:00-9:50 p.m. And I even get July 4th off!!! Woohoo!!! (because I'm sure I'll be celebrating)

So I am asking you this... PuhLEASE keep me motivated!! And remind me every once in awhile...this will pay off (one day.........hopefully.........)

I feel you on the summer classes and pregnant. I had Wyatt May 30th and had started a summer class. It was Wills, Estate and Probate. I had him on a Friday and was back at it the next week. That teacher was brutal. It was worth it in the end though and I am happy I stuck it out.
