Friday night: Nicole & Carver came down to watch Red Bud's 1st Annual Light Parade with us.
It was too caaute! Luke absolutely LOVED it,
except for the minor set back when he got wacked in the face twice (mind you) with candy.
Saturday afternoon: Bubba, Luke, and I went up to the Chili Cook Off up town.
It started at noon, however, if you know me we didn't get there til 1 p.m., no big deal, right?
It ended at 2:30 so we didn't miss "that" much. HA!
Bubba & I each got a band for $4 each to taste test everyone's chili. Everyone was OUT of chili.
How can you be out of chili at a chili cook off?!
Needless to say, Bubba & I together shared a bowl of chili for $8.
Next year we will be there extra early. Luke enjoyed some saltines, cookies, & the music.
Dancing is his new thing & he was sure to show the town his classic Roscow moves.
Sunday: The plan was to go up town.
To shop, take Luke to visit with Santa, and ideally go on the Candlelight Tour.
However, things in this household never go quite the way I expect.
I woke up on Saturday morning to a stiff neck.
I toughed it out at the Chili Cook Off, but as the day progressed it just seemed to get worse & worse.
After sleeping (or attempting to sleep) on my stiff neck Saturday night, Sunday morning I was in tears.
Just awful pain. Not only was my neck stiff, the entire left side of my face, and throat
was in the same agonizing pain
(I don't know why I'm talking in past tense, it still hurts like nobody's business!)
I tried to take it easy yesterday, but with a almost 2 year old, it's simply impossible.
Trav was hunting AGAIN. My parents were out of town :(
So I took Luke out to Gma & Gpa Roscow's for they afternoon.
Thank goodness for wonderful in-laws & grandparents!
They kept Luke entertained while I tried to rest.
Trav did get a buck, Luke hung out with the boys for awhile and was conked!
After this looong weekend it was time for the husband to come home & help me.
Bio-Freeze & Ice have been my best friends the past couple days.
I still can't move my neck, can hardly swallow, have a constant headache,
and I have heard "Ohhhh Toodles" one, too many times today.
Let's just hope this works itself out before Thanksgiving!
I hope everyone had a good weekend!!! :)
