Big Brother in training

Between all the Christmas festivities, the weather, and Luke's week long sickness yesterday was the first time he was able to meet his best friend Livvy's new baby sister Laney. Ash had to take Laney to a doctor's appointment so Luke & I headed over to their house to watch Livvy.

I was really nervous when we got there and even though Luke saw Livvy at the door (one of his favorite people in the entire world who he hasn't seen in a couple weeks) he would NOT come in the door. Laney was crying bloody murder & he wanted nothing to do with it. All I keep thinking to myself was "Oh great, Luke is NOT going to adjust well to his new baby brother/sister on the way in a few months"

However, Ash had to leave right away..since Luke & I are ALWAYS late :S So once they left, Luke was back to his old self. The older Luke & Livvy get the more messes they make & the more trouble they get into. Thank the Lord I did not have TWINS. Twin babies ok, twin toddlers...well I would just die!

Anywho, when Ash & the much more happy Laney got back from the appointment Luke was ALL about her!! He LOVES her!!!! Phew. He just had the sweetest grin on his face the whole time he was holding her. Then of course he did not want to give her up. I don't blame him! She is so precious!!! You really do forget how tiny newborns are. Oh and the smell, ahhh :)
