1st Outing

While the rest of our little town enjoyed the Annual Fireman's Picnic this past weekend (kind of a big deal!)... I was changing diapers, washing bottles, and soaking in that new baby smell :) Even though... word around town is someone saw me completely smoked, stumbling around the picnic. Grrreat!! I can only imagine the rumors being started haha. "The nice part about living in a small town is that when you don't know what you are doing, someone else does." Gotta love it!

Anywho, we did venture out on Sunday to the big PARDADE!! We debated back and forth about going. I felt torn. I really really realllly wanted to take Luke. After all, we didn't take him up to the picnic and come on...he's gone through a lot of new changes in the past 2 weeks..he totally was deserving of going to the parade. I was nervous about taking Logan out with the heat and all the people. But at the same time I didn't want to miss Luke's first REAL parade experience (he's slept through 2 parades and rode on The Office float last year). Then again there was no way I could part with Logan for 2 hours. Luckily our amazing Chef Trevor and his sweetheart of a wife Rachel live in the perfect spot on Locoust where if I needed to, I could take Logan in side. It was perfect!!! I am proud to say our first outing as a family of FOUR was a success!!!!

Luke totally 'got' the whole parade thing this year.

Logan's first parade experience was a little different....

The parade didn't disappoint once again!! I loved the bag pipes this year. Those are a new addition right?? Oh, and the RBHS Band has uniforms now...say what! They actually sounded pretty good this year too! Go Lyle!! Our favorite floats were...

My bestest blogger friend Adrien!!'s float. She did a GREAT job!! It was sooo stinkin adorable :)

And of course, Nana's float!!!!

 Which I'm proud to say has won 1st Place for the second year in a row!!

Woohoo!!
