Hello Jillian Goodbye Darla

I have successfully completed Week 1 folks (as of Wednesday..I'm a little behind whoops)!! One full week of watching every single thing that went into my mouth. A week of walking in this 100 degree weather. A week of standing while eating, since ya know...you burn 47 more calories if you are standing rather than sitting!!

THREE POUNDS lighter!!!!!!!! Woot Woot!!!!!!!! Let's see....only....oh....28-48ish pounds to go!!! Lord help me. Although I have a long way to go, I am super proud of myself. I worked out/walked 4 days. Stayed way under my 1800 calories a day. Ate breakfast everyday. Drank half my weight in ounces of water. Purposely parked in the farthest parking spaces at the store to get those extra steps in. (And as I am in Day 2 of my second week...still going strong!) I still have the motivation. But it is running thin. Why?

Darla has turned into Jillian. Know her? Jillian Michaels. Haha. It really isn't that bad. But my lanta, she did kick my butt this week. STILL sore. Like...I want to be put into a heating pad body wrap or something. Do they even make something like that?! I thought that going on a walk after my ass whoopin would help stretch out my muscles. Ha. Wrong. Luke wanted to go see Nana & Papa. And you know how we have to get to Nana & Papa's?

Death Valley. They don't look too terrible. The first hill tricks you. It seems easy peasy. Then the second hill you can feel a tingle. Then comes the third hill & you'll be screaming for mercy. Ha. Ok. Exaggerating once again. But when you are already sore, pushing a double stroller in 100 degree weather...ya not my idea of a good time. Then that stupid path that goes to the SKK subdivision. REALLY?!?! It's right in my parents' back yard. SUCKS!! The city defintely needs to do something about that. Off roading is not ideal with a newborn nor is a mommy's broken ankle. Yikes!

I do owe some shout outs on my first week of success!

Lukey Baby!!
Thank you for begging Mommy to go on walks. Even if I don't feel up to it, you make me. And then while we are crossing the street from one sidewalk to the next, you yelling at me "RUN MOMMY RUUNNN!!!" Good way to burn a couple extra calories ;)

Trevor!!
Thank you for going out of your way to make me healthy, delicious, low calorie meals. And especially for making them look reallllll pretty just so I have a little something special while everyone else around me is eating all the yummy, fried, fattening food I rather be eating :)

Oh! I even joined the Y  for the 5th, 6th, 7th? time!!! See? I told you I was on it! So now I will be taking a spinning class twice a week as well. Eeeek. Anyone want to join me?!

I keep telling myself I am going to join the Y and then when it comes time to join, I always find something else to do with the start up fee.
