I always wonder what in the world I'm going to say to you the first time we run into each other again. And the only thing that comes to mind is "Gosh, I miss you" with a sigh of relief and a huge hug to follow. Then I will probably hit you a top of the head for putting me through this :P

I am at peace of where we left things off. And sad, because I know what could have been. I replay our crazy nights together and think often of our intimate conversations. You were a good person and a great friend. I know, you know..I loved you. If anything, my only regret is that you really didn't know how much I loved you. You never gave yourself enough credit. So hopefully now you know.

But this is not only a happy birthday note. This is a thank you note as well. You didn't think I would shut up just quite yet did you? :)

Thank you for showing me to be fearless, to not care what other people think, to live your life just the way you want to, to drink homemade wine straight from the bottle, and to laugh until I cry. Thank you!
