A little bout Love

Touche. Touche.

To all of you single people out there that think there is no hope:
Travis & I are not soul mates. GASP! Married & not soul mates?
Somedays I want to strangle him.
Other days I am madly in love with him.
It's a roller coaster that I never want to get off.

We just celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary.
And let me tell you, anniversaries are a BIG deal around here.
Why? Because we work really really hard at our marriage.
And well, let's be honest.
Being married to Travis Roscow for any length of time
deserves some type of celebration. Joking....kind of :)

I have always been a hopeless romantic at heart.
I have cried to every chick flick known to man.
I am a Hallmark junkie. A complete sap.

And frankly, Travis is the farthest thing from Romeo.
He's my knight in aluminom foil. haha

But you know what?
(Here's your hope single ladies & gents)

We are best friends.
He is the person I can't WAIT to experience things with,
who I miss uncontrolably after a day apart,
who I have a complete and utter blast with all the time,
who still gives me those butterflies every once in awhile.

Oh those butterflies :)

Sometimes you don't need flowers or candle light dinners.
He can just smile at me. You know that smile.

I know I'm not an expert by any means but what I have learned so far...

1. NEVER go to bed mad each other.
2. Realize your not perfect. Therefore, you can't expect him to be perfect either.
3. You are both going to make mistakes. You are still young & growing.
4. Pick your battles, somethings will never change.
5. Talk about how you are feeling ALWAYS. Boys can't read minds.
6. Love with your whole heart. There is no half ass'n in a marriage.
7. Do something nice every once in awhile for the other person for no reason.
8. Don't compare your relationship to others.
9. Forgive.
10. Remember what made you fall in love in the first place.

Marriage is like being pregnant.
No one tells you how hard it really is.
But no one tells you how worth it it is either.

Our celebration consisted of a very nice dinner at The Melting Pot
where we talked about our goals for the next year.
A new home and possibly............
another baby brother/sister on the way. Fingers crossed :)

Gosh, I love him.
I have no idea why but I dooooo :)

Great lessons learned. :) You and I are twins separated at birth I do believe. When Eric travels I purposely watch chick flicks that I know will make me miss him more and then I'm a blubbering mess until he gets home. It's like falling in love all over again. Haha. Great post!

Agree completely with this post! Jake drives me absolutely nuts and gets on my last nerve but he is my best friend and can make me laugh like no one else. Love the Melting Pot! That's where we got engaged :)
