After losing your puppy dog a few hours before all the festivities are about to begin, really puts a damper on things. Regardless, it was Halloween. Logan's first Halloween at that! So we were going to celebrate. We dressed up in our costumes. Yes, we. Mama dressed up! And I think from here on out I will. It was a hoot. Luke thought it was totally cool that Mommy was in a costume too. ((The day he doesn't think it's totally cool, will be even more fun for me muuhahahaha))
Batman & Robin
Robin & Monkey
Robin & "The Scrooge" of Halloween
After we put our (tight) costumes. Yes, tight. Mama should have reconsidered purchasing her costume from the junior department and while she was at it maybe, just maaaaybe she should of let Luke try on his costume before October 31st at 5:00 p.m. (lesson learned) He wears a 3T. The package said 2 to 4 toddler. Doesn't 3T fall in that category?? Apparently not. His pants looked like capris and his mask didn't go over his eyes. Mother of the Year Award. FML. Then poor Loggie Bear. Ugh. So I was going to be a loser mom all together and not spend the money on a costume for him. But...then I gave into peer pressure and heard all these other mommies were dressing up their baby babies. I would of never forgiven myself if he was the only baby not in a costume. So the only darn costume I could find the day before Halloween that would come anywhere close to fitting him was a still oversized monkey. Not even a cute monkey. Looked more like a lion with a huge belly button and crown on his head than a monkey. Ugh. So anywho... we were dressed and ready to roll.
First stop was Nana & Papa Roscow's. Great Grandpa was there and absolutely adored seeing the boys dressed up. He even made Luke a little goody bag, it was sooo cute!! Then we were off to Nana & Papa Stines' house for Nana's famous homemade chicken and dumplings. Mmmmmm. ((the highlight of the night)) Well...on that long drive from Stringtown to the Bud makes my boys fall asleep every.single.time. So when we got to my parents they were both asleep. We attemepted to wake up Luke and well...that wasn't happenin. Crabby with capital C!
So we ate (in peace) and hoped he would be up by the time we were done so we could go trick or treating. Nicole stopped by for a little tradition we started on the kids' first Halloween together. A picture of all of them in their costumes.
But as you can tell...that didn't go according to plan either. Konner was being shy & Luke was still asleep. So we did the next best thing & got a picture of the new additions to the clan instead.
My hopes of Luke waking up and going trick or treating turned into a big fat negative. He didn't wake up until 8:30. Luke, you are an absolute party pooper!

Whatever. We were going to get a family picture.
Failed Attempt 1:
See Batman's capris?
And Monkey's oversized belly button?
And Mom grabbing both of their crotches?
WTF....
Failed Attempt 2:
Can't forget Dad!!
The guy who goes to bed when the sun goes down. Holiday or not...
Attempt 3, good enough!
So now that trick or treating was out of the question and a big flop on pictures... On to my favorite Halloween tradition. Halloween jammies & Hocus Pocus!!!
But of course, that dream was shattered as well. Luke could of cared less about my all time favorite movie because why? We were at Papa's house and at Papa's house we watch Batman OVER & OVER & OVER again. Ughhh!
And that my friends is The End.
Just call me June Roseanne.
Happy freakin Halloween!

Oh no, Sarah! Haha...I'm sure that's not how you envisioned your Halloween AT ALL, but I cannot tell a lie: this post made me giggle the whole way through. I think you all looked adorable, for what it's worth. :) And your pictures make me smile. :)
Geez dude. Bad day? Did you at least get to eat any candy?

sorry you had a bad day. but again, you looked awesome in your robin costume. I thought about dressing up but didn't want to embarrass Landon. lol
I love that you dressed up too! Next year you gotta get daddy to join in the fun ;) lol...I can already hear that whole conversation!
I have a picture from Ty's first Halloween where I am grabbing his crotch. Must be the way you hold a kid in a costume!
