luke's birthday weekend.
first off, my baby is THREE. i still cannot believe it! i mean...sometimes it feels longer than that. i don't really remember my life before he was in it. but to actually say "i have a three year old" out loud, just blows my mind. anywho...
friday: took kim's advice & took the boys to santa's magical kingdom. ahhh, it was ahhmazing. i put the boys in their christmas jammies. we got imos to go. and listened to christmas music the whole time. and yes...travis roscow was singing to every single song. bahaha. it was great! luke was amazed and well...logan snoozed the entire time. it was a perfect night. loved every single second of it!
i'm sure he is thinking "whatever mom. let's get this show on the road." i attempted and failed at getting a picture of both the boys together. or of the lights. but ya know, that's how we roll. we don't even have pictures of our second being born.....
saturday: you would of thought mommy came straight from the looney bin. i thought it would be a grand idea to take luke and his cousin zachary to chuck e cheese. HAHAHAHA. ha. ha... chuck e cheese is nothing new to luke. we've been a few times but never.ever.ever. on a saturday. oh em gee. shoot me! it was packed. it smelled like dirty feet. it was hot. needless to say we didn't last long nor take any pictures. i almost lost my kid twice. never again.
sunday: i set my alarm for 8:02 a.m. so i could give my three year old a birthday kiss at the exact minute he was born. tear. and of course, it was party day!! i have always wanted to fill the kids' rooms with balloons when they wake up on their birthday but...since we were at nana & papa's i decided to fill the living room instead. (ahhh another perk of moving. next year it is a must!) he loved it! the party was great. a little crowded but great. food was excellent, cake was delish, he did an excellent job at blowing out the candles, smiles, laughter. the only thing that didn't go as planned was opening presents. i thought he would do excellent. but if i have learned anything as a parent so far is toddlers are unpredictable. he opened the first one & wanted to play with it. could of cared less about the rest of them. we tried to get him too & there was a melt down. so mommy and his cousins opened the rest & thanked everyone. oh luke....maybe next year! oh....and. i sent dad to the store to pick up the bicycle that we planned on getting him for his birthday. big mistake. he came home with one that looked like a dirtbike. NOT the one i picked out. ughhh. so mad. but whatever. luke absolutely loves it & does excellent on his big boy bike!
monday: trav took off work & we lined up a babysitter for logan so we could take luke to the magic house. i think he is finally the perfect age to go and what better present to a three year old than to have mom & dad's undivided attention all day long?! welp....i looked on their website to see what time they opened and guess what....the magic house is CLOSED on mondays! ugggh. if you knew this, please don't say anything. so disappointed. oh well. maybe sometime over christmas break. regardless, luke matthew had a great birthday weekend!!
my boys are almost exactly two and half years apart. only missed by four days. which means when it's luke's birthday, logan's half birthday is four days later. and on logan's birthday, four days later is luke's half birthday. which means december 15th my baby boy turned six months old. six months old!!! of course the day of his half birthday mommy was running around like a mad women with finals & never got a chance to take a snap shot of this very important day but...here is a random one that totally sums up my youngest.
don't mind if there is a random letter to luke & logan for their birthdays sometime this week. i have always planned on printing these things out one day for the them to read. just in case they ever doubted their mama was a basket case loved them.
besides our birthday extravaganzas, i finished my first semester of school as a mama of two. whoa. that was a little ridic. i have a whole month off and am going to enjoy every single moment of free time with my babies. and well packing....because we are moving in a little over a month. eeekkk.
mom invited me to go to kimmswick, mo with her and a couple of her friends one day last week. it poured down rain the entire time but i still had a great time. i am sooo going back for their applebutter festival or whatever it is. sooo caute. we went to the blue owl. ahhhh. heaven. and guess what?! it is one of oprah's favorite things. right down my ally!! if you haven't ever been there. you have to try it out, the blue owl ahhhmazing!
cb designed these adorable christmas cards for me.
adorable, right?! but.....with chirstmas and a down payment, no way i was spending that much $$ on them. soooo. i opted for some good ol walgreens chirstmas cards....that....i just made tonight. and that i won't get until tomorrow. and that probably won't get mailed til wednesday. and probably, some how not be delievered until after christmas. oh well. merry chirstmas from the roscow's!!
me and my sister from a different mother went out friday night. and it was awesome. seriously love her! i don't know where i would be with out my blog family. you girls have made me become such a better person. another bno is def in order. once the holidays are over, you better get your party pants on. especially MEAGAN!!!!! :D
oh. trav sold my tahoe. mmhmm. he thought it would be a grand idea since it was paid off..so that we would have more money towards our down payment. so now i'm stuck driving his truck. mama is not happy. of course, he does swear up and down in a few months i can get a new one. ha. we'll see about that.
about my "invision" post. sisters. i am so overly excited that you are all behind me on this!!! i am going to do it! for real! i'm thinking....two'ish years? be patient. i'm working on a little sister for my boys. i have to plan accordingly ;)
had a family chirstmas tonight. tried to get a 'nice' picture of the fam.
bahaha. yup. that's as good as it gets folks. good as it gets.
