I am in a rather good mood for a Monday.
I don't know if it is because we had a successful weekend
or if it is because I know that ONE WEEK from today
is the big ultrasound!!! ((can you tell I'm anxious))
15 weeks down, 25 to go.
Ay Ay Ay!
15 weeks down, 25 to go.
Ay Ay Ay!
Friday night was ahhmazing.
Don't get me wrong, I love me some summer but
I could take a day or two a week with the that kind of weather!!
We had some friends over..I made chili & cornbread..
put the babies in hoodies..and had a bonfire.
It was perfect!
Saturday we took complete advantage of the weather & went to Grant's Farm.
And let me tell you...I am in love!
And so were the boys.
How can you not be in the best mood ever watching an elephant show?
Or feeding sweet little goats?
We were in heaven. It was a great day :)
Side Note:
The transition lenses are not workin for ya honey.
NOT my idea....
& I swear he wears them just to piss me off.
Sunday we went down to Rendezvous.
It was back to typical Southern IL weather &
Mama was over it.
Took a nice family jeep ride,
spent $5 bucks in parking,
and Dad got Luke a $5 sword.
Rendezvous 2012, yeah!
Luke had a sleepover with his cousin Jake,
so we took advantage of spending some one on one time with our
almost one year old.
He is starting to walk and we are high on life.
I don't think there is anything more exciting that a baby learning to walk.
Everyone (even tough ol Dad) has been nothing but grinning ear to ear lately.
I was feeling nice & decided to spoil my hubby's belly with
rib-eyes, twice baked potatoes, corn on the cob, and biscuits.
Num Num!!
We finished the night with the MTV Movie Awards.
I am such a mom.
I haven't seen over half the movies they were talking about
but I still love watching the shows.
And last night, I'm glad I did.
Emma Stone's acceptance speech for the first annual "Trailblazer" award was great!
“So, I looked up the actual definition of trailblazer, and it means ‘someone who blazes a trail to be followed by others.’ And that’s an honor that you’re associated with a concept like that, but the only thing I can hope that something like this award inspires is originality. Because the trailblazers that I’ve looked up to and been inspired by are people like Gilda Radnor and Bill Murray and John Candy; and Charlie Chaplin, and the Beatles, and J.D. Salinger; and Lorne Michaels, who reminds me of the importance of comedy; and Cameron Crowe, whose work consistently reminds me why I want to be an actor.
“Those people are my creative trailblazers, but I’m not following any of their paths. What’s incredible about them is they make me want to be more myself, because they’re all originals. And I hope that you’ll find your trailblazers — and trust me, I do not need to be one of them, I probably shouldn’t be — but that you’ll continue to harness your own originality and what makes you unique. Because I know that when you’re a teenager, and even sometimes when you’re an adult, what sets you apart can feel like a burden. And it’s not; a lot of the time, it’s what makes you great.”
How true is that?
It makes my heart happy that there are people
still out there like this. What a great role model!
You rock Emma!!!
So your lesson for the day.
Be original.
Those who matter won't mind and those who mind don't matter ;)
Taking little man to his one year check up today.
Curious to see how much the chunky butt weighs :)
