Letter to Logan

Dear Logan,

Happy Birthday sweet boy! Part of me can't believe that you are a year old today, but then again the other part of me totally believes it considering your crazy mama is 4 months pregnant! While we are on that subject... I have been having a very hard time coping with the fact that I have stolen your babyhood away form you. In a few short months you will not be 'the' baby, you will be a big brother, my middle child. But no worries...no matter how many brothers you have or how old you get, you will always, always still be my baby. And I will make sure that we still have Mommy/Logan time. For now, for then, and for always.

You are such a morning person. You get that from you Dad. Every morning when I walk in your room, you are just grinning ear to ear. It makes me, the farthest thing from a morning person, grin ear to ear too. You are so happy all the time. Always giggling and smiling.

Oh em gee, that smile :) Those two top teeth are the caaautest thing I have ever seen. You have been doing this 'scrunch your face & snort/laugh' thing lately & I can't get enough of it! Your brother used to do the same thing at your age. I don't know where either of you learned it from but I laugh every single time. Speaking of your brother, you two are the perfect match. Luke loves you so much and you love him just as much. You are the best of friends and excellent playmates. I hope that you two always stay close.

And you are such a lover. I hope you never grow out of that snuggling stage. And your kisses. Oh so sweet and wet. You love attention and you are very emotional. If I don't drop everything I am doing to play with you or hold you and talk to you...your little lip starts to quiver and you will just cry ever so gently. It is the most pathetic and sweetest thing ever. And of course you make me melt like butter and well...you are my baby, so I scoop you up and give you all the attention in the world. There is no such thing as spoiling a baby with love. Remember that when you have babies of your own. Give them all the love in the world.

You love me, but you love your Daddy too. When he walks in the door you light up. Always wanting that Daddy. And you know what? You have made Daddy a big ol push over. He is putty in your hands little one. Work it.

Your party is Sunday and I hope that you are happy and feel all the love around you. Everyone loves you Logan. Everyone. You bring so much happiness to not only our family but to everyone who comes in contact with you. You are a wonderful baby, a mama's dream.

Don't grow up too fast and never think you are too cool to give your mama a hug. And keep being you! I love you to the moon and back. Happy Birthday Loggie Bear!!
