Travis turned 25 on Wednesday. Everyone knows I'm big on Birthdays! I have a birthday week & so does Lukey. Travis on the other hand could care less if it his birthday. I asked him what he wanted to do. He asked for the simple request of coming home to a clean house and for me to make him a NY Strip with sauteed mushrooms & provolone cheese, a baked potato, and corn. And under strict request of no presents. WHAT!? 1. I was very upset he didn't want to actually do something for his birthday, I have been looking forward to it for quite sometime. 2. I have never ever cooked a steak in my life. That's his department. 3. NO PRESENTS? Who actually says that & means it? Travis Roscow that's who. For some odd reason he thinks presents are completely uneccessary. And God forbid any cards.
By some miracle I got the house cleaned before he got home, even shampooed the carpets. Dinner was a success & there was a hint of a moan when he tasted the steak (good sign, I suppose)! Go me!! And, LUKE just had to get Daddy at least a little something. Sarah's Rules: EVERYONE should open a present on their birthday big or small & blow out a candle. And of course, Travis hates cake. Who is this guy? So we got him a mini-cheesecake so he could blow out a candle. Even though I was super bummed about not going all out for my hubby's birthday. It was a great night with just the three of us :)
However, we have already planned a trip to VEGAS when Trav turns 30. Guess I'll save all my birthday shananigans til then!!!
