Amazing Weekend

Luke & I went to the Balloon Glow in Forest Park Friday with Nicole & Konner, Katie, and Nicole & Carver. It was a crazzzy drive over & even crazier to find a parking spot. We ended up walking over a mile before we even saw a balloon. Next year I'm going to get there at noon & make a day of it. We all had so much fun! We will defintely make this a new tradition. Luke liked the balloons, but absolutely loved the fireworks. He was practically falling out of his stroller looking at them. It was too stinkin cute!  

 Saturday, I had a girls night & Travis went out with his friends for his birthday. And Sunday, best day yet. Trav, Luke, & I pigged out, took a nap, and watched football all day long in our pjs. It was amazing! We have not done that in a very long time. Luke was being a crazy boy & showing us all of his new talents. I hadn't realized until yesterday, that even though I am with Luke almost every single hour of his waking life, I really am not "in" the moment with him all day everyday. It's hard when you are trying to get house work done, homework, etc. I am so glad I realized this & was able to focus on just him all day long. He was just eatin' up all the attention from both Mommy & Daddy. And trust me, everyday from here on out, when Luke is dying for my attention I'm going to stop whatever I am doing & be in that moment with him.

He has a fascination with shoes. Like really, fascination. Not only can he walk better in high heels than me, he sleeps with his shoes on. He has to change his shoes at least 6 times a day.He wears my shoes, dad's shoes, and anyone elses he can get ahold of. One day I picked him up from daycare & was wearing one of the little girls in his class's shoe. I think it's cute. Dad is getting a little worried...
