Ah, it was good!!

It was a good, laid back weekend!!! Thank goodness..because the next couple of weekends are full of running around like crazy people. Friday, Luke's cousins Ashley & Zachary went with us to see......

Oh!!!! It was soooo much fun. I was super nervous about this whole adventure. Luke is a 2 year old. Nothing ever goes as planned & I never know how he is going to act. BUT! He amazed me once again & was absolutely wonderful!!!! && he LOOOOOVED it!!!! (so did Mommy)

I would recommend this show to anyone with a 2-6 year old. (Some people brought itty bitty babies.

Not because they had an older child and a itty bitty baby. Just brought their itty bitty baby? But then again, some parents went alllll out & wore big ol Elmo shirts. To each their own I guess) 

It was a blast!!! We sang, we danced, we laughed. It was awesome!!!! This was my test & I'm glad Luke passed because Trav's cousin gave us tickets to Mickey & Minnie on ice which is in a couple weeks!!!

Our plans for the rest of the weekend? Tax appointment at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning. Oh yes, the exciting life we live!!! Went to the appointment, only forgot two papers. How do I do that every.single.time?? Errr. Was a little upset when they said the thousands and thousands annnnnd thousands of dollars we spent on daycare doesn't do anything for our taxes because I don't work. Go figure. So much for all those hours I have put in at The Office &&&&&&& being a full time student :P Oh well. Next year!!! Oh wait, I'll still be in school. alasuoijsfdoseijrslkdhiopajd :):) We had breakfast at Country Kitchen. Came home, took a nice long family nap. Then went to The Office for steak night with my grandparents. Then Auntie Tarwwwwin came over & watched movies with us. Yes. Our whole day revolved around food & sleeping. It was ahhmazing :)

Sunday. BLAH. I had to own up to Friday's confession & hit the books. 'Hit the books, they won't hit back' right?? Goooossssh. I hate homework. Yes, I used the word hate. It is rather fitting for this topic. Oh!! Made a meatloaf. Someone mentioned it on FB a couple days ago & it's all I've been thinking about. Welllll, I've only made a meatloaf one other time in my life. Couldn't for the life of me remember the recipe. Called my mom, she was taking a nap. Called Trav's mom, she didn't answer. (Her & Rog have a hard time with the concept that 'cell phones' are MOBILE. haha) Sooo...it was off to google. I just took the most common ingredients from a few recipes & made my own creation. I told Trav to be honest on how it tasted, because next time I'll know to change it around a bit. He passed it! YES!!! Thank you Paula Deen. My poor Lukey Baby woke up from his afternoon nap with PINK EYE :( His poor eye is swollen, gooky, yucky, and red (not pink??) I HAVE to go to school today. Stupid tests!! So Uncle Zach is going to stay with him until I get out & we have to go to the doctor. Maybe I could just call in a perscription considering the weather....I thought we were done with that nasty crap!?

Exciting News over the weekend :)

The dirk bike is gooonnnne!!!! Oh yes! I won. Trav lost. 'If' he had not wrecked when Luke was 3 weeks old while I was in school full time and working part time, I might not of been so cold about the subject. But that's what happened. And it was the hardest/longest/most frustrating couple months of my life. He couldn't even go to the bathroom or shower on his own..... I let your mind wonder. It was NOT fun. It was NOT easy. And with his record, all things with two wheels are gone. I don't care if it is bitchy. My babies need their Daddy as long as possible. Next...the smoking!!! hehe. Okay, I am bitchy.

AND!!!!!! Trav's mom was 'officially' laid off. Yes, this isn't the most exciting news in the world. But she knew it was coming & she really doesn't want to work anymore. I don't blame her, she's only a few shy years away from retirement. The only reason she really kept working was because of her insurance. But, on to the exciting part!!! She is going to watch Luke while I'm at school. YESSS :) So exciting!!! She will be great with him. I don't know who will have more fun her or Luke. Sure it is an extra 20 minutes a day of driving but anything to get him out of that smelly/bullying classroom. I was a little worried about him being taken away from the social interaction at daycare (one of the only plus sides to the whole situation) but then Trav made a good point that he is socially well adjusted and will be in school for the next 20 years, so why not let him have a little Nana time?! Besides, it's only til May. Then I was taking him out anyways.

AND EVEN BETTER!!!!! Okay, don't say a word. I know that I promised myself I wasn't going to buy anything for the baby until we found out the sex. Welllll. I couldn't help myself. This blog that I'm obsessed with has a little girl who has Down Syndrome and all the proceeds go to her ONEder Fund. Let me present to you the Nella Cordelia Mary Janes from Pitter Patter.

Sooo, even if 'it' is not a girl, the money went to a good cause & I have an adorable baby shower gift for some other lucky little girl. But can't you see it now... my newbie wearing these in her  newborn pics?!

And the funny moment of the weekend, why not? :)

I sent Trav to the store to get a few things last night. Instead of coming home with a gallon or two of milk, he came home with one half gallon. WTF? I was on a rage, he knows we would finish that off just at dinner. Why the heck did you do that??? He explained that IGA was a mad house and it was all they had left. All those crazies that stock up on the essentials when the weather gets bad. So this is what I'm thinking. Well, even if school gets cancelled and Luke stays home from daycare, Trav still has to go to work regardless. I'll just have him pick something up from the store on his way home. Wellllll, we were laying in bed watching the nightly news & they were taping at a grocery store. The crazies. Then a lady made an EXCELLENT point that IF the power goes out, they have food that they do not have to use the microwave, oven, etc. And all their cold products they would put outside. Ya, well. Trav & I are young and dumb sometimes. We didn't even think about something like that. We just thought the crazies were at it again because they didn't want to drive in the nastiness. Whoops. We could not help but feel stupid, and started laughing at ourselves. Yes, literally laughing at are our stupidness. Now I'm wishing we were one of the crazies....
