It was 100 degrees out. Trust me, the kid was estatic!
"Lukey, want to go see MAAATER?!" reaction.
"Lukey, look..that is a BIG t.v." reaction.
The only probelm we ran into was the seats. Umm, apparently 30 pounds is not enough weight to keep one of these bad boys down. He thought it was fun for a whole 60 seconds and then he started getting pissed. Poor kid, haha. He ended up sprawling out all over Mommy & Daddy's laps the entire.movie!
Sooo proud of what a big boy he was & how well he behaved :)
It was our first outing without Logan and even though we missed him and well, kind of felt ackward leaving him at home...I am glad we did. Luke needs his 'alone' time with M&D every once in awhile.
Last Monday, I took Luke to Monkey Joe's the first time....
Ya..well..that experience wasn't as pleasant as the movies. Yikes!!
ONE. it was freakin hotter than heck in that joint. Do they not know what ac is?! There were big fans blowing, but every single adult and kid in there was drenched in sweat.
TWO. Luke is so not big enough for that place yet. I don't know what people were talking about when they said "Oh yes! Luke is defintely big enough to go to Monkey Joe's" We have a bounce house. These were not friendly little bounce houses, they were ginormous!!!!
Take a gander...
Ya...steep!! Waaay to steep for a 2 year old. He wanted to go up sooo bad. After a few failed attempts his cousin Zachary helped him climb up. It was a long process with impatient kids behind them jumping the entire time. He finally got to the top & FAAAREAAKED! I mean hysterical crying. (Mind you..Luke is the most laid back kid ever) I have never ever ever seen him scared, let alone having an anxiety attack. I felt HORRIBLE. And there was n.o.t.h.i.n.g I could do about it since "adults are not allowed on the so called friendly bounce houses"
THREE. There were NO workers anywhere! After about 5 minutes of Lukey being scared for his life and me trying to talk him into coming down the slide, I decided to take it upon myself to volunteer Luke's lovely cousin Ashley to climb up there and get him.
My heart was broken. Not going back there until he is at least, at leeeast five!
Now, I don't want to give MJ's a bad rep. It was an awesome place for older kids. Not toddlers. Especially if it is busy. Luke did enjoy the "baby?" section. But..ya..I think we will stick to our own bounce house for now.
After being traumatized all he cared about was the snack bar & getting his armband off (once again...not something a two year old grasps the concept of 'that you have to keep your armband on')
And of course we can't leave Logan out now can we :)
Side note. I cannot believe how many parents were at MJ's not paying attention to their kids. Granted I have a toddler who needs constant supervision. But...Really...your kids are only kids once. Don't you want to be "in the moment" with them rather than having your nose in a magazine or working on a laptop? I do. Uh hello, that's why I don't always capture these "moments" on camera. I'm too busy living in those little "moments" with my boys. If you are one of those parents.. get real. Ha. Ok. I'm done!
